My experience of The Avatar Course is very basic! Before, I always had a good excuse to justify why this or that happened and the justification had always something to do with someone else or something else. After, the justification did not hold the road anymore. I could look at what I had done or not done, said or not said, which explained what had happened!
I am still human after taking The Avatar Course, but now I have a body of exercises and practices to enhance my level of responsibility, compassion and being of service.

I always say that I did not have a difficult childhood, but I have had a challenge becoming the adult I have wanted to be. In my family nothing more was expected of me than to get married, have children and live within 20 minutes of my parents. That is the way my family was and that was the way society largely was at the time. I needed to work against the odds to become economically independent. I had to buck convention to have an equal partner in a dynamic relationship that was not necessarily out of a storybook. I had to break out of my ‘to each his own’ mentality to make a contribution to others. Having my life be a dream come true, did not take a silver spoon – it has taken work. It has not been the type of work that was only labor, but work on myself. And, it continues to take work because the path of growth and development is not an event. It is a way of life. I have embraced evolving as a human being as my lifestyle because it keeps me buoyant. If everyone were on that bandwagon I truly believe it would make a difference in humankind. I am happy to have encountered Avatar because it is a viable avenue of self-betterment and it is an international community aimed at an enlightened world. I recommend Avatar to others.

Both of your viewpoints resonate with me. Andre, your last line in particular struck me. I also want ‘enhanced responsibility, compassion and selfless service’. Michelle, I am also learning that we don’t graduate from growth and development. As you said, “It is a way of life.” Beautifully put, Michelle.

I was reading again the comments people posted on our website and was struck by yours! The Avatar material is offered at three levels: The Avatar course, the Master course and the Wizards course and really, where one wants to be is in the Wizards course as it is at that level that students learn exercises and practices to have an impact on the global consciousness, whether at the family level, the community level of the world level. This being said, one has to start somewhere and The Avatar course is the entrance course!
